Campbell Transportation Company, Inc., is looking for a summer intern that is driven and willing to learn. The goal of this program is to help further develop your skills in a professional work environment. As a Logistics Intern, you will be working closely with the Director of Logistics who will provide you with real hands-on projects and daily tasks.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyze traffic and logistical flow within the US Inland Waterways to better understand route optimization and planning.
  • Assist in the coordination and dispatching of CTC barges and boats, understanding operational constraints.
  • Participate in logistics strategy meetings to understand the decision-making process.
  • Engage with software tools used for logistics management, including tracking and scheduling of vessels.
  • Assist Logistics managers with daily logistics activities.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Interest in the maritime or transportation industry.
  • Team player who is creative, driven and motivated for success.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, detail oriented.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Suite applications and other software.
  • Ability to travel to local locations as needed. 

Physical Capabilities:

  • Carry, push, pull or move 10 pounds regularly, or up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to sit up to 8 hours per day.
