Interns - Rapid Rehousing:
Rapid Rehousing (RRH) is an intervention, informed by a Housing First approach that is a critical part of a community’s effective homeless crisis response system. RRH rapidly connects young adults 18-24 experiencing homelessness to housing with supportive services that includes supportive counseling, linking young adults to community resources, and the use of time-limited financial resources. RRH assistance is offered without preconditions (such as employment, income, absence of criminal record, or sobriety) and services provided are typically tailored to the unique needs of the participant(s).
Fundamental goals of this RRH project are to reduce the amount of time a young adult experiences homelessness, thereby supporting a trajectory towards independence, self-sufficiency, housing stability, and contribution to self and community.
