Position Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Instructional Assistant to support our Kindergarten Dual Language Immersion Program. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assisting the classroom teacher in delivering bilingual instruction, promoting academic growth, and supporting a positive learning environment for young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Kindergarten teacher in delivering instruction in both Spanish and English.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
• Provide individualized support to students to meet their language and academic needs, promoting language acquisition and academic development.
• Assist in organizing classroom materials and resources to support dual language learning and student engagement.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to strengthen instructional practices.
• Foster a love of language and culture, assisting in the promotion of bilingualism and biliteracy in both Spanish and English.

Qualifications:

• Passion for working with young children and supporting bilingual education.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families.
• Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students in a bilingual learning environment.
• Previous experience in an educational setting is preferred, but not required.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English is preferred but not required.
