Golf Management Internship

Internship Description: 

Charlotte Country Club is a premier, exclusive private country club located in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina in the Plaza-Midwood neighborhood. Charlotte Country Club was founded in 1910 and is the oldest club in Charlotte. Our internship program offers students hands on experience in Golf Management Operations. Our program is customized to meet the individual needs and interests of our interns to best prepare them for a career in clubs. 

Program Functions: 

• Department Rotations
• Monthly meetings (Golf Shop, Golf House, and Golf Outside Operations).
• Leadership Development Education
• Learn from the Assistant Golf Professionals and the Golf Outside Operations Team.
• Interns should expect to experience all aspects of Club operations, front line roles through team leadership and operations as indicated through their personal goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Internship Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a 4-year Golf Management Program
• Exceptional communication skills
• Detail-orientated, honest, respectful, dedicated, ethical, caring, positive, and enthusiastic.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-end, professional environment.
• Good listener
• Desire to make every member experience memorable.
• Experience in the golf industry in a country club setting preferred. 
• A team spirit and positive attitude.
• Strong customer service skills, interpersonal and communication skills required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Constantly walks, stands, reaches, bends, and lifts.
• Indoor and outdoor – ability to tolerate all seasonal weather conditions.
• Ability to bend, reach and lift frequently. 
• Must speak and read English.

Work Environment

• Must be able to handle a fast-paced, high-end, sophisticated environment.

• Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet of more)
