Position Overview:
At Two Roads Brewing Company, we are looking for a motivated Events & Marketing Intern to take the Road Less Traveled with us and assist in executing and marketing events, creating engaging campus content across our 6 venues and bars, developing marketing plans, and connecting with the community through events and campus happenings. This internship provides hands-on experience in event management, social media/marketing strategy, and customer engagement. This paid, for-credit, internship will require an average of 20 hours/week. This internship will run from May - August. 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Support and Execution:
    • Play an integral role in the planning, coordination, and execution of brewery-hosted events, ensuring seamless operations- from setup to breakdown
    • Engage actively in event execution, interacting with attendees and team members, troubleshooting on-site challenges, and ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
    • Collaborate with vendors to coordinate and finalize logistics and oversee efficient operations before, during, and after events.
    • Manage post-event follow-up by collecting feedback, coordinating debriefs, and ensuring all operational components are concluded effectively.
  • Social Media and Content Creation:
    • Develop, create and schedule captivating and timely social media content to promote upcoming events and brewery initiatives for our Campus social page.
    • Strategize and schedule posts for the Campus social media pages, ensuring content aligns with the Two Roads brand identity and aesthetic.
    • Document events through photos and videos, providing both real-time updates for followers and high-quality assets for future marketing materials.
    • Collaborate with events and marketing team members to brainstorm and execute innovative campaigns that engage and expand the brewery’s audience.
  • Customer Engagement and Community Outreach
    • Act as a brand ambassador at events, engaging authentically with attendees to create memorable experiences.
    • Gather valuable feedback from guests during events to improve future activations and strengthen customer relationships.
    • Represent Two Roads Brewing in a positive and professional manner, fostering community trust and enthusiasm for the brand.
  • Market Research and Analysis
    • Research event marketing trends, analyze competitor activations, and identify best practices in audience engagement to keep Two Roads at the forefront of the industry.
    • Collect and interpret event performance data, tracking key metrics such as attendance, engagement, and post-event impact.
    • Assist in the creation of detailed reports that evaluate event successes and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
    • Contribute insights to improve marketing strategies and maximize the return on event investments.

  • Profit & Loss Analysis and Budget Planning: Learn to create, track, and evaluate event budgets to ensure profitability and efficient resource allocation.
  • Event Coordination - Planning to Payment: Manage all stages of event planning, including logistics, execution, and vendor payment reconciliation.
  • Organizational Structure: Gain insights into how teams collaborate within the brewery to achieve marketing and event objectives.
  • Event & Activation Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement creative strategies to promote events, align with the brand, and engage target audiences.
  • Social Media Strategy: Master content creation, scheduling, and analytics for brand-focused platforms, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives.
  • Customer Engagement: Build interpersonal skills through direct interactions with attendees, fostering brand loyalty and gathering valuable feedback.
  • Market Research and Analytics: Explore event marketing trends, analyze competitor strategies, and interpret event performance metrics to enhance future planning.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Tackle on-the-spot challenges during events, honing critical thinking and flexibility.
  • Professional Communication: Collaborate with teams, vendors, and stakeholders effectively, ensuring smooth execution and post-event reporting. 
  • Creative Campaign Development: Brainstorm and execute innovative marketing activations to promote events and expand brand reach.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Skills: Proficiency in Social Media Platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), Microsoft Suite (Word, PPT, Excel), Basic Graphic Design (Canva or Adobe Suite) a plus, and strong communication skills. 
  • Experience: Experience in customer service preferred.
  • Attributes: Positive attitude, attention to detail, enthusiasm for events, and strong organizational skills. 

Requirements:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, Hospitality Management, or related field. 
  • Availability: An average of 20 hours per week with flexible availability based on event and campus demands. Must be available to work some nights and weekends.
  • Compensation: $16.35/hour
