Event Planning Intern

Job Period: March 2025 – September 2025 

Location: Typhoon Texas Waterpark - Houston 

The Event Planning Intern will play a vital role in enhancing the guest experience by planning, coordinating, and executing special events and activities at Typhoon Texas Waterpark. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, vendor coordination, and guest engagement within a fast-paced, dynamic waterpark environment. 

Event Planning and Coordination: 

• Develop, organize, and execute special events and activities, including creating detailed timelines, run-of-show documents, and logistical plans. 
• Collaborate with park departments to ensure seamless event execution and alignment with guest experience goals. 
• Document event details, budgets, and feedback for future improvements. 

Vendor and Partner Management: 

• Coordinate with vendors, entertainers, and external partners, managing contracts, schedules, and on-site logistics. 
• Ensure all external partnerships meet event requirements and adhere to park policies. 

Event Execution and Guest Engagement: 

• Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown while addressing on-site challenges to maintain high standards of quality. 
• Interact with guests to promote participation and ensure an engaging, positive experience during events.

 Qualifications: 

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). 
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fun and engaging environment.
