The Haag Streit USA co-op program is designed to give students real-world, hands-on experiences. Intern – Mechanical Engineering 


This is a full time opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering intern who is ready to apply knowledge of engineering principles to a project-based, fast-moving real-world experience. The self-motivated intern will assist with a wide range of duties, including but not limited to, improving manufacturing processes, designing fixtures, layouts and tools, and working with complex data. This is an exciting opportunity for any student pursuing a career in mechanical engineering. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop fixtures, layouts, and tooling 
  • Assist on floor with maintenance and production
  • Observe and create updated work instruction manuals
  • Help innovate work process with adoption of new technologies
  • Assist with inventory management and organization
  • Data entry, visualization and analysis
  • Help produce new processes to improve work flow
  • Prepare reports when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What You’ll Need: 

  • Prospective candidates should currently be seeking a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering 
  • Highly motivated, curious and growth-minded individual who works well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Effective computer, verbal communication and written/report writing skills
  • Basic CAD knowledge
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Deadline oriented and the ability to complete tasks independently
