Cost Accountant Intern

Toyoda Gosei North America (located in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Cost Accountant Summer Intern. A Cost Accountant Intern is someone who is responsible for the monitoring and maintaining of all cost standards, inventory controls, monthly reporting to management and variance analysis in accordance with GAAP and IFRS accounting standards. His/her job requires a proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, and JD Edwards with detailed knowledge of the range of a company�s products, and a strong attention to detail.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup of standard costs for raw materials.
• Maintain inventory & cost related codes in JDE.
• Assist in the reconciliations of inventory accounts at month end.
• Assist in the process of a physical inventory.
• Assist in the identification of build out inventory.
• Support any additional duties within the accounting department.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Minimum of 2 years' undergraduate studies completed
• Coursework towards a Bachelor�s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (including Excel)
• Excellent organization and communication skills required
• Strong financial acumen required
• Highly analytical and detail oriented
