Actuarial Intern

Summer Internship opportunity for a current college student looking for experience in the insurance industry!

The Actuarial Intern will assist the Actuarial Department with projects including but not limited to pricing reviews of ICC’s lines of business, information requests from other departments, and creating reports though a Business Intelligence Software to be used by primarily for other departments.

Our Internship Program allows students the opportunity to participate in the following activities within their preferred area of study:

• Engage in active learning
• Explore social and workplace business interactions with practical applications
• Assist in various projects
• Connect with co-workers and mentors throughout the Company
• Learn more about preferred field of study as it relates to the insurance industry

Qualifications

• Active full-time undergraduate or graduate student
• Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance or Business major preferred
• Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word
• Effective, professional language art skills to prepare business correspondence, reports, and presentations
• Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical functions as necessary to make projections, identify and analyze problems
• Ability to solve practical simple problems where standardization exists
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in oral, diagram, and schedule form
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently

The Internship Program is open to a variety of majors; prior insurance experience is not required.
