Welcome!
We’re happy you are here. If you are looking to be part of a vibrant, inspiring, mission-driven organization full of thinkers and doers, then read on! If you aspire to apply your talents to a transformational organization, apply for this internship! Refugees International (RI) seeks great people from a wide variety of backgrounds and we specifically encourage members of refugee, immigrant, or other displaced communities to join us.
When you do join us, you will be an integral contributor to our non-governmental organization that advocates for lifesaving assistance and protection for refugees and other displaced people, abiding by the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence. You will join the Program Team as an intern focused on climate change, displacement, and human mobility, and work closely with the Senior Advocate and Program Manager of the Climate Displacement Program.
Since 2009, Refugees International’s Climate Displacement Program has advocated for climate-displaced people and offered cutting-edge expertise on the complex relationship between extreme weather, climate change, and displacement. We currently represent civil society on the UN Climate Change (UNFCCC) Task Force on Displacement and work with displaced communities around the world to support their inclusion in decision-making processes at the local, national, and international level; as well as to strengthen their community-led efforts to mitigate, adapt, and build resilience to the effects of climate change. When you join us, you will engage with all those issues and more.
