About Our Internship Program:

Lion Street’s Pride Builders Program is an internship program focused on building critical skills and real-world experience necessary for a post-graduate career. Our interns will learn the ins and outs of the life insurance and wealth management industry while making meaningful contributions as you immerse yourself in our business and develop a supportive network. Our internship program is flexible with school hours but requires a minimum of 20 hours per week to keep up with projects.

About the role:

We are seeking a motivated Wealth Management Intern to join our team and assist in various projects that are essential to our Broker Dealer. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in finance and wealth management while contributing to the success of Lion Street.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the organization of incoming mail with the goal of moving to electronic notifications only.
  • Assist with the maintaining of daily/monthly surveillance reports which include the review and investigation of historical trading activity, AML surveillance.
  • Assist with operational support.
  • Act as office assistant to coordinate calendars/meetings of CEO, CCO, COO and insure office runs smoothly.
  • Compose and prepare correspondence to ensure prompt and appropriate responses.
  • Ensure continuous workflow distribution to appropriate areas and initiate follow-up action as necessary.
  • May be asked to answer, screen, and direct incoming calls and correspondence.
  • Receive and review daily mail and immediately respond to issues/requests.
  • Gather, summarize, and analyze data.
  • Prepare special reports as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data entry.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work onsite in our office located in Downtown Austin.
