About the Internship:

As a Viwinco Intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals on projects that support lean manufacturing initiatives, process improvements, and operational efficiencies. You’ll gain valuable industry experience, participate in problem-solving activities, and present your findings to leadership at the end of the program.

Location: 851 Hemlock Road, Morgantown, PA
Duration:
Approximately 10 weeks (May – August 2025)
Compensation:
$18.00 per hour
 

*Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide your own housing

Interns will support key company initiatives, with responsibilities that may include:

  • Assisting with the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including documenting procedures, training support, and tooling purchases.
  • Helping design machinery layouts and equipment for optimized manufacturing methods.
  • Conducting time studies on various manufacturing processes.
  • Participating in safety, quality, and process improvement projects to meet company goals.
  • Maintaining necessary documentation for process improvement activities.
  • Assisting in creating procedures for an efficient and safe work environment.
  • Supporting data collection, analysis, and implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on engineering and operational challenges.
  • Conducting research and providing recommendations for equipment optimization and workflow enhancements.
  • Participating in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Presenting project results and recommendations to leadership at the end of the internship.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field), Business or Finance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
