Position Summary
Spring/Summer Internship – Community Nutrition Instructor
Required Qualifications
Must have completed a minimum of 12 credits within the last year (these 12 credits may come from high school dual enrollment credits) and are currently enrolled at one of the following eight Idaho public universities or colleges (private Idaho universities or colleges do not qualify). Priority will be given to University of Idaho student applicants. University of Idaho Idaho State University Boise State University Lewis-Clark State College College of Southern Idaho College of Western Idaho College of Eastern Idaho North Idaho College Must provide own transportation and have the ability to travel to multiple work sites. University will follow applicable policies if personal vehicle is used, which may include reimbursement at a pre-established rate.
Preferred Qualifications
Completed coursework in Agriculture, Education, Science, Human Development, Family and Consumer Sciences, Food Safety, Food Science, Technology, Nutrition, Multicultural Studies or other relevant subject areas. Outgoing and comfortable working with the public and volunteers (youth and adults). Self-motivated and works independently. Enjoys working in a variety of settings and environments with diverse audiences. Experience answering phones, responding to email, and communicating through social media.
