PAY: $16.00 per hour plus free parking or bus pass.


SCHEDULE: Requires 15 hours per week onsite for internship session (180 hours total).


POSITION SUMMARY

The exact duties and projects will be determined by mutual agreement of the intern and museum staff.

  • Data collection and analysis regarding attendance, sales, market demographics and other business metrics using Galaxy Ticketing System, excel, pivot tables, PowerBI, Salesforce and survey data; gathered in-person and via Survey Monkey 
  • Gather, maintain, and provide timely and cumulative tracking reports.
  • Research and trend tracking regarding current Museum and cultural organizations best practices, price and service comparisons and innovative ideas for growth potential.
  • Package relevant data analysis and research into an easily understood presentation format, including PowerPoint, excel charts, word documents and use of the graphic designer as needed.
  • Update staff and interns in processes and status of tasks to create continuous line of communication and workflow.

All duties will be carried out with the direction and supervision of Membership and Sales staff.


IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Formal education in marketing, mathematics/statistics, sociology, or related field.
  • Previous knowledge of survey and data software.
  • Excellent analytical thinking skills.

TRAINING PROVIDED

  • Knowledge in Survey Monkey and Salesforce
  • Reporting and final document process and creation
