The pay rate for a college intern is based upon the students' academic status:
Undergraduate student rate of pay - $16.93 per hour
Graduate student rate of pay - $20.59 per hour
Background:
A background check including a BCI & FBI fingerprint check will be required on all selected applicants.

To be eligible for an internship opportunity at the Ohio Department of Public Safety, an applicant must:
· Be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.
· Be in good standing with the college/university.
· Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0.
· Be enrolled in at least one course.
· Be pursuing a degree or finishing a degree.

· Conducting investigations regarding:
o Odometer tampering
o Odometer fraud
o Title jumping
o Title fraud
o Selling without legal title
o Failure to deliver title
o Forgeries & falsifications
o Selling motor vehicles without licenses
o Illegally obtained driver licenses
o License plates
o Vehicle registrations
o Identification cards
o Other areas as deems necessary
· Assisting the Investigator Assistant with job related tasks pertaining to the dealer industry and maintaining compliance
· Perform other related duties as required
